Make bad hair days history
Bad hair days. Everyone has them. And they can put you in a bad mood for the whole day. Here are some tips that will hopefully make your bad hair days a thing of the past.
Get a good haircut...
...it sounds a bit obvious but it can make so much difference. Get a style that suits your hair type, face shape and lifestyle. It makes your hair so much easier to manage.
Find the right shampoo and conditioner...
...the products you use can make or break a bad hair day. Experiment until you find the right ones for you. When you wash your hair, remember to rinse the conditioner off really well, as any residue can leave your hair matted, dull and unmanageable.
Use a detoxifying shampoo...
...every few washes to get rid of any product build-up.
Make sure your hair is totally dry before leaving the house...
...or it might kink or frizz out. If you haven't got time in the morning, wash your hair the night before.
Give your hair some life...
...If your hair's a bit dull and limp, try using a deep conditioning treatment occasionally, or give your hair a final rinse in cold water to boost shine. You could also try reviving your natural colour with an all-over, semi-permanent tint that will coat and smooth the hair and give it a really glossy sheen.
The dreaded frizz...
...if you have curly hair, try using a wide-toothed comb or use your fingers to separate curls instead of using a brush. If you haven't got time to wash your hair, try spraying it with water then scrunching it with your hands to revive the curls and tame the frizz.
Avoid bed head...
...you can avoid waking up with 'bed head' hair by sleeping on a satin pillowcase. Silky fabric lets your hair gently slide across it, unlike cotton, which causes more friction and is more likely to rough-up your hair.
Experiment...
...trying out different hairstyles gives you options to fall back on when things go horribly wrong. For longer hair, try wearing a ponytail. If you've got a heavy fringe, twist it and pin it back sometimes for a change- it's a good idea on hot days too!
